The Abs Diet Plan - A Quick Review
David Zinczenko, the editor-in-chief of Men’s Health Magazine, has created a diet plan that
encourages you eat healthy by utilizing twelve ‘power’ foods. He has also written a book going in depth of his diet plan. This diet plan is
called the Abs Diet Plan.
The following foods are the twelve ‘power’ foods of the Abs
Diet:
Almonds and
other nuts
Beans and
other legumes
Spinach and
other green vegetables
Dairy (fat
free/low fat)
Instant
oatmeal
Eggs
Turkey and
other lean meats
Peanut
butter (all natural, no more than 3T daily)
Olive oil
(extra virgin)
Whole grain
breads/cereals
Extra whey
protein powder
Raspberries
and other berries
As you can see, the first letters of all the foods listed
spells out ‘ABS DIET POWER’. This can possibly be a good way to remember what foods are in the power twelve when following this diet
guideline.
This Abs Diet Plan is geared towards the quick loss of
stomach fat; therefore it is heavily marketed towards men. Men are more likely to gain and loss fat weight from their midsections first. They are
the ones who are more likely to have the dreaded ‘beer belly’.
Since women, on the other hand, tend to gain and lose weight
in the hips and thighs area first, this diet may not flatten a woman’s stomach as quickly as it would for a man. However following a diet plan
such as this one can increase everyone’s odds in achieving the healthy eating lifestyle and body shape that they desire.
The Abs Diet Plan is basically a healthy eating program;
there is little wrong with the foods that are outlined for you to eat. Some people are able to simply lose weight by watching calorie counts, but
others need an outlined guide to follow.
This diet plan is great for those of us that need to follow an outline to achieve and maintain that
goal that has been set. You are very likely to lose weight in a healthy fashion and keep it off if you follow this diet
plan.
The Abs Diet Plan is also very vegetarian friendly in the foods that are allowed to be consumed,
making it usable by many more people.
